Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience in a design related role.
Familiarity with motor theory, electromagnetic analysis, motor design, and manufacturing methods.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Self-motivated, organized, and efficient.
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Responsibilities
Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot motors for mid to high-level complexity projects.
Create test plans for motor components and assemblies.
Use laboratory equipment for experiments and data analysis.
Conduct hands-on experiments of power tools and perform simulations.
Perform root cause failure analysis on motor failures.
Self-manage and track projects to ensure adherence to schedule.
Communicate effectively across the organization regarding project progress.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Work with suppliers for component selection and future product needs.
Facilitate and document technical meetings and presentations.
Maintain knowledge of development and manufacturing processes.
Design and qualify solutions to regulatory standards.
