The Firmwide Compensation Team at Goldman Sachs is seeking an Analyst to support the development and implementation of compensation strategies, policies, and practices globally, with a focus on attracting and retaining top talent.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related HR field
1+ year of relevant work experience required
Highly proficient in analyzing large sets of data and presenting clear, compelling results
Ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining quality
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with Excel, including vLookups, Pivot Tables, and advanced formulas
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global team environment
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic advisor for designing compensation programs
Lead compensation benchmarking initiatives and present findings to leadership
Partner with HCM teams to structure new hire compensation packages
Identify continuous improvement and automation opportunities within the compensation process
Analyze hiring and attrition trends to advise on talent attraction and retention strategies
Design compensation programs and policies, including financial modeling
Manage compensation budgets and administer the year-end compensation process
