Job Description

Rivian is seeking a skilled data engineer to work with the Facilities team, enabling data-driven decision-making through the design and implementation of data pipelines and analytics catalogs, while collaborating with the Enterprise Data team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related area; Master’s degree a plus
5+ years of hands-on experience in data with a deep understanding of data engineering best practices and data warehousing principles
Expert in analytics tech stack and scripting/automation - Databricks, Fivetran, SQL, Python, DBT, Git
Experience with cloud technologies, such as S3, ECS, EMR, lambdas, Glue
Ability to quickly learn and operate in a fast-paced, agile environment
Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Own and drive the design, development and implementation of Facilities data pipelines and data + analytics catalog (ELT)
Build and maintain large scale data pipelines from internal and external data sources into our datalake on Databricks
Build modular set of data services using SQL, Python, DBT, AWS services with appropriate controls
Automate and schedule jobs and optimize for performance
Implement observability on pipelines to ensure accuracy of high priority datasets
