Job Description

The Electrical Engineering Manager at Milwaukee Tool will lead a team of engineers focused on high volume battery projects, overseeing strategic planning, resource allocation, and technical reviews while promoting innovation in embedded systems and electronics.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
7+ years of highly successful embedded systems experience.
3+ years of team leadership experience.
Understanding of digital circuits and the interaction between firmware and electronics.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership experience.
Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic.
Practical knowledge in embedded electronics design, root cause analysis, and battery/PCBA manufacturing.
Familiarity with using schematic capture, PCB layout software, SPICE.
Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

Lead a small to medium size team of electrical engineers in the design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics for a variety of battery projects.
Mentor and coach the team in engineering best practices.
Qualify alternate electronic components and maintain supply chain stability.
Identify and execute Value Engineering opportunities.
Ensure production and warranty/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Organize and align across functional teams to develop a robust product support strategy roadmap.
Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics.
Effectively communicate and motivate across the organization.
Frame-up and escalate business risks/opportunities to senior leadership.
Create and manage robust project roadmaps and resource plans.
Champion and drive new processes and procedures.
Perform proper risk analysis on proposed changes to existing products.
Review drawing releases and Engineering Change Notices.
