Job Description

Netflix is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Critical Operations and Reliability Engineering team, focusing on maintaining and improving the reliability of Netflix's streaming services through collaboration, incident management, and proactive risk management.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Production Engineer, or similar role supporting business-critical, high-traffic services.
Proficient in one or more programming languages like Python, Go, or Java.
Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS/Azure/GCP and Infrastructure as Code like Terraform.
Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
Understanding of large-scale distributed systems and their common failure modes.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with engineering partners.
Experience with incident management and response.
Possess a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure to support Netflix Streaming Suite.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate observability, reliability, and security considerations into the software development lifecycle.
Develop and implement automation tools for monitoring, deployment, and incident response.
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the 24/7 health of the Netflix Streaming.
Implement and maintain a robust incident response framework, including blame-aware incident reviews.
Proactively identify sources of instability in distributed systems.
Champion and embed a culture of reliability across the Ads organization.
