Job Description
Morgan Stanley is seeking a professional to support the Non-Financial Risk Department by drafting documentation, optimizing financial crime compliance models, and managing model risk governance within the Legal and Compliance Division.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, management information systems, risk management, or related fields from a top tier university.
At least 4 years’ relevant experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Model Risk Management, Risk Control, or related domains within Financial Services.
Good understanding of AML, Sanctions, and/or Trade Surveillance models.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills.
Responsibilities
Draft comprehensive documentation on model design within LCD.
Establish ongoing monitoring controls and collaborate with quantitative analysts.
Assist in the tuning and optimization of various Financial Crime Compliance models.
Support model developers in testing and designing challenger models.
Maintain existing LCD models through qualitative analyses and testing.
Conduct research on new trends in modeling approaches and perform gap analysis.
Perform root-cause analyses on model performance anomalies.
Document analyses, recommendations, and rationales for model activities.
Manage and maintain the model risk governance framework.
Assist in the preparation of metrics reports for senior management.
Track and report model changes and results of optimization activities.
