This entry-level Digital & AI engineer position at Cummins involves utilizing statistical analysis and programming to solve engineering problems, support AI/ML prototype development, and enhance digital workflows within a collaborative agile team environment.
Requirements
- College, university, or equivalent Master's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
- Foundational knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and hypothesis testing.
- Exposure to or interest in learning programming languages such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Excel).
- Interest in AI/ML concepts, including machine learning models, natural language processing, or generative AI (LLMs).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize principles of statistical, graphical, and hypothesis-led analysis to solve real-world problems.
- Leverage data analysis results to synthesize findings and enable data-assisted decisions.
- Support the development and testing of AI/ML/LLM prototypes.
- Participate in agile program activities such as sprint planning and team stand-ups.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across engineering, product, and digital teams.
- Gather requirements and manage the end-to-end deployment of AI/LLM/ML solutions.
- Develop documentation, user training, and change management strategies.
