Job Description

The Launch Engineer for New Product Introduction is responsible for managing operations related to major changes in the factory. This role requires leading cross-functional teams to ensure engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain targets are met for successful program implementation.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in new program launch, equipment and program management
Production Operations Knowledge including understanding of complex production lines
Background in Powertrain / High Voltage Battery engineering or manufacturing experience highly desired
Understanding of manufacturing validation processes for complex new products
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to devise creative solutions
Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or CAD models

Responsibilities

Drive all activities related to the operations perimeter for the program into the factory
Participate in and lead cross-functional Program and Manufacturing Readiness forums
Oversee complete manufacturing validation for the program
Plan, organize, and orchestrate all pre-launch build activities
Oversee the finalization and validation of the MBOM for the program
Steer overall program validation plan and manufacturing readiness criteria
Consider environment, health, and safety in all activities
Interact and drive results across cross-functional teams
