Job Description

The DevOps Engineer at Goldman Sachs is responsible for developing and implementing DevOps processes and tools, ensuring reliable software deployment and monitoring. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers and operations teams, automate tasks, and manage platform infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps
  • Strong understanding of software development, infrastructure, and operations
  • Experience with Git and resolving build issues
  • Experience with enforcing test coverage
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Experience with configuring cloud services such as AWS Kafka MSK, S3
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with coordinating between multiple teams to resolve build issues

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement DevOps processes and tools
  • Work with developers and operations teams to ensure that software is built, deployed and maintained in a reliable and efficient manner
  • Automate tasks and processes to improve efficiency
  • Manage platform infrastructure and application deployments
  • Monitor and troubleshoot systems
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps trends
  • Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
  • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
  • Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications
