Job Description

The Associate and/or Vice President role in the Risk division focuses on managing credit exposure to trading and lending counterparties. The position involves analyzing credit facilities, presenting findings to senior leadership, and leading projects related to credit risk process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Preferred experience in underwriting, portfolio management, credit rating/research, and risk management
  • Familiarity with CMBS / ABS / CLO structure and market drivers
  • Experience in presenting and defending credit research
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues in other regional offices
  • Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Approve counterparty credit research and credit rating analysis
  • Analyze credit facilities and recommend internal credit ratings
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Lead ongoing surveillance research and prepare portfolio observations
  • Update and enhance internal rating methodology
  • Own and lead ad-hoc projects related to credit risk
  • Ensure compliance with Credit Risk policy and procedures
  • Provide training to new hires and junior analysts
