Job Description

Google is seeking experienced software engineers to develop next-generation technologies that enhance user interaction and information management. The role involves leading data-driven product improvements, managing data quality, and working on critical projects within the Google Cloud Platform, particularly in the GCE Telemetry team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with database design and data warehouse development.
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred).
8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms (preferred).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role (preferred).
3 years of experience working on cross-functional projects (preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead and drive data driven product improvements across functional organizations.
Manage data quality and data governance, data architecture and data modeling.
Observe trends and anomalies in the high cardinality dataset.
Manage data visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker or build a custom dashboard/UI using JavaScript/React.
Manage relational and non-relational databases and normalization.
