Job Description

The Tax Data Governance team is seeking a business and data intelligence professional to assist in designing and implementing Tax datasets. The role involves collaborating with tax compliance and reporting teams to create Global Tax data models, ensuring high data quality and facilitating the adoption of the firm's Data Governance Framework.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
0-3 years of experience
Hands-on experience with one or more mainstream programming languages (Python, Java, C, Scala, C++, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL
Experience in a visualization tool such as Tableau preferred
Experience dealing with data (structured or unstructured) preferred
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders
Willingness to work in a fast paced environment
Interest in applying technical knowledge to Financial Services industry
Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion

Responsibilities

Analyzing and translating business requirements into long term solution data models
Evaluating existing data systems to create a Global Tax data model for Tax division
Applying the data governance framework to ensure the design and implementation of business and technical rules produce the highest data quality
Working closely with business partners and technology leaders to evaluate the key areas of data quality improvement
Building automation and workflows to uplift data control gaps
Implementing data strategies and converting logical models into physical data models
Facilitating and arbitrating the data quality issue resolution cross business and technology stakeholders including external vendors
Working with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
Working with Tax engineers with development, testing and production
