Job Description

The Customer Solutions Engineer role at Google Cloud involves providing 24x7 support to critical customers, troubleshooting technical issues, and advocating for customer needs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, triaging technical issues, or software development.
  • Experience creating content for technical audiences.
  • Experience writing, reading, and debugging code in Java, C, C++, Python, or Go.
  • Experience working with distributed systems and solutions.
  • Experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers on their production deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale.
  • Triage and manage technical escalations, including platform outages and technical issues.
  • Develop an understanding of Google Cloud's product technology and architectures.
  • Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.
  • Advocate for customer needs with internal teams to improve the product.
  • Ensure 24-hour customer support, including non-standard work hours.
