Job Description

Google is seeking software engineers to develop next-generation technologies that enhance user interaction and information handling at scale. The role involves working on distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure, with a focus on customer-driven priorities and high availability requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
2 years of experience with software development and coding or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
Experience with distributed systems.
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred).
Experience in high-performance scalable backends, large-scale data processing, or system design (preferred).
Experience with messaging systems like Apache Kafka or Cloud Computing Platforms (preferred).
Experience with Apache Hadoop/Spark or Big Data Technologies (preferred).
Experience with C++ (preferred).

Responsibilities

Focus on customer-driven priorities while working across the entire stack.
Design and implement features in C++, with the reliability of the service considered our most important feature.
