Job Description
KLA is seeking a research scientist or engineer with expertise in laser photonics, optical engineering, or optical metrology. The role involves operating high-fluence/DUV laser systems and inspection equipment, while managing vendor interactions and design reviews to ensure successful project milestones.
Requirements
- Experience in laser photonics, optical engineering, or optical metrology fields
- Proficiency in commercial Diffractive and Metalens fabrication techniques
- Understanding of coherent wave propagation optics design theory
- Knowledge of optical fabrication, metrology, assembly and alignment techniques
- Ability to travel both in the US and abroad
Responsibilities
- Operate high-fluence/DUV laser systems and inspection/metrology equipment
- Handle multiple vendor interactions and internal/external design reviews
- Specify, review, and validate optical systems using simulations and measurement tools
- Track project milestones and deliverables with limited supervision
