Netflix is seeking an experienced Research Engineer to develop and productize algorithms in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Speaker Diarization, and Audio Understanding. This role involves conducting cutting-edge Machine Learning research to enhance localization and global entertainment, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements
- Proven track record of conducting cutting-edge research in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Speaker Diarization, and Audio Understanding models, demonstrated by publications in top-tier conferences or journals
- MS or PhD in ML, Computer Science or related fields
- Familiarity with common ML and DL frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity; able to take ownership, and thrive with minimal oversight and process

Responsibilities
- Research, develop and productize cutting-edge Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Speaker Diarization, and Audio Understanding models
- Partner closely with other ML engineers and scientists to integrate work into business applications
- Act as domain expert and thought leader in identifying new research opportunities with significant business impact
- Present your research to all levels of the company clearly and concisely
