Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer with over 10 years of experience to manage construction projects in the NYC and Lower Hudson Valley Region. The role involves overseeing municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring safety compliance, and managing contractor performance while collaborating with design staff.

Requirements

10 years’ Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer experience
BS in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent work experience
Professional Engineer license in New York

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day construction oversight and Resident Engineering Inspection efforts
Act as a liaison to design staff for response to Contractor RFI's and review of shop drawings
Review construction plans, specifications, and project changes for constructability and practicality
Manage the Construction Management field office staff responsible for record keeping and processing of periodic payments
Ensure delivery of daily inspection reports in accordance with clients’ requirements
Monitor contractor performance, schedule compliance, and overall responsiveness
Manage the contractor payment process and recommend adjustments based on work completed
