Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer in Tesla’s Vehicle Engineering Team, you will design and launch complete interior systems for future vehicle product lines. You will collaborate with various teams to innovate and execute high-quality interiors that meet both styling and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Two years of experience in product development / design engineering
First principles, physics-based thinker and problem solver
Understanding of latest design technologies used in Product Engineering
Experience with complex assemblies and engineering principles in design, prototyping and production

Responsibilities

Engineer, develop and execute world-class interior systems
Collaborate with Tesla’s Design/Styling and Engineering teams
Participate in the iterative process with stakeholders
Implement processes and material selections for automotive interior craftsmanship
Complete and release interior components and detail designs
Utilize DFSS methodologies during design and validation
Collaborate with key interior system and plastic component suppliers
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility
