Job Description

The Audio Media Technologies (AMT) group at Apple is seeking engineers to develop and optimize low-power/high-compute audio DSP features for various products. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate these features into real-time audio subsystems while addressing audio fidelity and performance issues.

Requirements

Deep understanding of DSP fundamentals, preferably in audio (speech enhancement, noise cancellation/reduction, media processing, sample rate conversion)
Excellent C/C++ coding skills
Experience realizing audio/DSP/real-time features and applications
Experience with development and debug of audio issues on HW platforms
Excellent Python skills
Experience with audio test and measurement equipment and methodologies
BS/MS in EE or CS or equivalent

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize signal processing algorithms on programmable HW
Write unit tests and integration tests for comprehensive testing and validation of software
Work cross-functionally with Acoustics experts, algorithm engineers, DSP software engineers, audio driver developers, and HW engineers
Integrate audio features into real-time audio subsystems
Solve audio fidelity and performance issues
