Job Description

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join their US Places Design & Engineering team in Los Angeles, California. The role involves leading fire protection design for various facility projects, including federal projects, while collaborating with other engineers and architects.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical or fire protection engineering
Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States
Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities
Advanced technical understanding of fire alarm and suppression systems
Deep knowledge of life safety codes
Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NESC, UL

Responsibilities

Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages
Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project and staffing plans
Fluency in design and modeling software including Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks
Skilled in designing fire protection systems in various facilities
Travel to project sites for fire protection site surveys and collaboration with client team members
