Job Description

Netflix is seeking a Data Scientist for the Open Connect Data Science and Engineering team to address foundational measurement problems in their complex infrastructure. The role involves designing experiments, building analytic tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and reliability.

Requirements

Fascinated by understanding how complex systems work
Solid understanding of statistics
Good coding skills in Python and SQL (Trino, Spark), and/or PySpark
Comfortable with ambiguity and complex stakeholder relationships
Able to communicate ideas clearly to varied technical audiences

Responsibilities

Understand the science needs of Open Connect and support in designing, executing, and analyzing experiments
Partner with other Data Scientists to design and build scalable experimentation tooling
Design and rigorously validate new testing methods
Document work thoroughly and educate partners on infrastructure experimentation
Deliver strong insights and data science products while seeking feedback
