Job Description
KLA is seeking motivated interns for a summer internship in Ann Arbor, Michigan, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Interns will work on the development of sub-assemblies for inspection and metrology tools, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Completed fundamental coursework in mechanical design and manufacturing
- Basic skills in CAD software
- Familiarity with PTC Creo and Ansys is a strong plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proactive attitude and perseverance to tackle complex challenges
- Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams across various locations
Responsibilities
- Design 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies
- Create and maintain engineering documentation
- Perform basic analytical modeling to support design decisions
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, optical, systems, and software engineers
- Procure components and materials for prototyping
- Assemble and test designs in a laboratory setting
