Job Description

Uber is seeking an experienced manager to lead its insurance data infrastructure, focusing on designing data models and improving data processes. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data compliance and support Uber's expanding portfolio.

Requirements

M.S. or Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields
Minimum 2 years of management experience
Proficiency with SQL, Python, big data frameworks (ex. Hadoop, Spark)
Proficiency in a scripting language (Python preferred)
Experience with Excel and some dashboarding/data visualization (ex. Tableau)

Responsibilities

Manage a team of 3 to deliver projects on time with high quality
Design comprehensive quality checks to facilitate accurate analyses and to ensure Uber's insurance data meets compliance standards
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build and improve on the availability, integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data logging and data pipelines
Collaborate with business leaders to manage project intake, roadmap, prioritize, and manage staffing against key initiatives
Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including actuaries, engineers, program managers, and data scientists to identify challenges and opportunities for insurance data models
