Job Description

Elanco is seeking a Principal Engineer for HR Technology to lead the design and strategy of their HR platforms, ensuring a seamless supervisor lifecycle and hire-to-retire experience. This role involves architectural leadership, process optimization, and mentoring engineers to enhance HR technology and deliver measurable business value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years leading the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of complex HR platforms and integrations in a global enterprise environment.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, SuccessFactors, and other HR systems.
  • Deep expertise in HR processes across the supervisor lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to develop multi-year technology roadmaps.
  • Track record mentoring engineers and leading complex programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architectural roadmap for Elanco’s enterprise HR platforms.
  • Lead re-engineering of critical HR processes to improve cycle time and data integrity.
  • Establish engineering standards and design patterns for HR integrations.
  • Define the integration strategy across various HR systems.
  • Develop and oversee validation, privacy, access, and audit-readiness approaches.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business cases.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging HR tech trends and lead proofs-of-concept.
