Job Description

The Business Intelligence Engineer role in Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA) at Amazon involves creating data models, acquiring new data sources, and building comprehensive data visualizations. This position requires a blend of process improvement, analytics, data modeling, and strategic design to solve complex business problems and enhance operational health through data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Responsibilities

  • Solving complex business problems with simple, analytical reports, dashboards, visualizations, and analyses
  • Partnering with our Data Engineering and Data Science teams to design, build, and measure data models and metrics using data driven tools
  • Building out comprehensive metrics to measure operational health, then demonstrate continuous improvement within these metrics
  • Being the voice of your customers; communicate the needs of candidates, associates, and staffing coordinators to your stakeholders via the data
