Job Description

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Analyst for the Trading Risk Management team within the Commodities Division, based in Houston. The role involves analyzing market risk, participating in performance meetings, and developing risk reports while collaborating closely with trading teams and management.

Requirements

Undergraduate or Master’s degree in finance or quantitative discipline
1-3 years of experience, Financial Industry preferred ideally within the Commodity markets
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
Coursework in Probability & Statistics
Advanced coursework in Financial mathematics, Option theory, and Stochastic calculus is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Participate in weekly performance and risk meetings with traders and management
Analyze risk/reward on potential transactions
Develop and publish risk reports
Work on adhoc risk analysis across various relevant markets/portfolio’s
