Job Description

Jacobs is seeking a Global Senior Tunnel Engineer to lead the planning, design, and construction of tunneling projects. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in tunnel engineering, project management, and team development, aimed at driving strategic initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Minimum of 15 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Extensive knowledge of tunnel design and construction methods
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, and TunnelCAD
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Develop and implement national strategies for tunnel engineering projects
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of large-scale tunnel projects
Provide expert guidance on complex engineering challenges
Mentor and develop a team of engineers
Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and industry partners
Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and quality control procedures
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in tunnel engineering
