Job Description

The Asset Renewal Office Engineer at Jacobs will oversee the administrative processes and construction requirements for multiple small projects, primarily focused on replacing end-of-life airport assets. The role requires extensive experience in the design and construction industries, particularly in managing complex building projects and utilities, preferably in airport settings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, Engineering, and/or related industry experience
10 years or more experience in managing the design of small and medium complex building projects, utilities and infrastructure improvements, preferably on airport projects
Experience with projects more than $25 million in value
Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build
Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
Must have a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus
Must be detail oriented and highly organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
Familiarity with Project Management Information Systems
Ability to work in CAD or REVIT a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee the administrative processes and construction requirements of multiple small projects
Experience with payment applications, including quantity dispute resolution
Maintain excellent documentation and file organization
Review and respond to RFIs and submittals for compliance with Contract Documents
Communicate and interact with team members, contractors, and various departments
Support the Construction Manager and Program Manager in other tasks and duties
Coordinate and implement Area Shutdown Requests (ASR’s) and Utility Shutdown Requests (USR’s)
Experience closing out projects, including operations and maintenance manuals, payment releases, and warranty requirements
