Job Description

The Asset Renewal Office Engineer at Jacobs will oversee the administrative processes and construction requirements for multiple small projects, primarily focused on replacing end-of-life airport assets. The role requires extensive experience in the design and construction industries, particularly in managing complex building projects and utilities, preferably in airport settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, Engineering, and/or related industry experience
  • 10 years or more experience in managing the design of small and medium complex building projects, utilities and infrastructure improvements, preferably on airport projects
  • Experience with projects more than $25 million in value
  • Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
  • Must have a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with Project Management Information Systems
  • Ability to work in CAD or REVIT a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administrative processes and construction requirements of multiple small projects
  • Experience with payment applications, including quantity dispute resolution
  • Maintain excellent documentation and file organization
  • Review and respond to RFIs and submittals for compliance with Contract Documents
  • Communicate and interact with team members, contractors, and various departments
  • Support the Construction Manager and Program Manager in other tasks and duties
  • Coordinate and implement Area Shutdown Requests (ASR’s) and Utility Shutdown Requests (USR’s)
  • Experience closing out projects, including operations and maintenance manuals, payment releases, and warranty requirements
