Job Description

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join their Energy and Power Solutions team, focusing on the energy and power market. The role involves working on innovative projects related to power system planning, renewable energy, and power generation, under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program is required
  • Must have strong analytical, conceptual, technical writing and presentation skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Conduct condition assessment of existing systems
  • Perform feasibility and master plan studies
  • Provide detailed design and construction oversight for power generation facilities, distribution systems, and substations
  • Produce electrical calculations, reports, and construction document packages
  • Model complex power systems to evaluate load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash hazards
  • Develop relay protection strategies and design lightning protection systems and grounding
  • Create procurement specifications for electrical equipment and materials
