Job Description

Salesforce is seeking product-driven backend engineers to join the Slackforce team, which focuses on integrating Slack and Salesforce to enhance enterprise collaboration. The role involves designing and building systems and APIs that improve user experience while collaborating closely with product managers and designers.

Requirements

A related technical degree required
7+ years of professional experience building web applications
Experience with functional or imperative programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Java, Ruby, Go, or C)
Ability to contribute to technical architecture discussions and drive technical decisions
Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts
Solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval
Embrace the hybrid working model; collaborating in office at least 10 days per quarter

Responsibilities

Brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers, Backend, and Frontend Engineers to conceptualize and build new features
Produce high-quality results by contributing heavily to team projects
Own team features or systems and define their long-term health
Assist support and operations teams in triaging and resolving production issues
Mentor other engineers and deeply review code
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
