Job Description

Salesforce is seeking a Staff product-driven backend engineer to join the Slackforce team, which focuses on integrating Slack and Salesforce to enhance enterprise collaboration. The role involves designing and building systems and APIs that improve user experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

10+ years of experience building web applications
Experience with functional or imperative programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Java, Ruby, Go, or C)
Ability to contribute to technical architecture discussions
Proficient in writing understandable, testable code with a focus on maintainability
Experience in product development and contributing to end-user features
Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts

Responsibilities

Brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to conceptualize and build new features
Contribute to team projects that significantly impact the business
Own team features or systems and define their long-term health
Assist support and operations teams in resolving production issues
Mentor other engineers and review code
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
