Blackstone is seeking a Summer Analyst to support its Events team within the firmwide marketing function. The role involves assisting with event management, tracking expenses, and providing onsite support for various events, while also collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills; articulates thoughts clearly
- Interest in a career in events management and/or hospitality
- Knowledge and curiosity of New York venue & restaurant scene
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Highly motivated and resourceful
- Team player
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (including PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
Responsibilities
- Shadow and help the Blackstone Events team in a dynamic environment
- Track and process invoices and support team with expense management
- Work together with internal teams to manage internal event programming
- Learn event systems, help manage room bookings, and build event communications
- Assist and provide onsite support with event registration
- Work on event related research and various ad-hoc projects
- Provide visual merchandising support while assisting with branded merchandise
- Track inventory and organization across Blackstone Events storage
- Correspond with vendors
- Lead group transportation coordination
- Assist professionals in all stages of preparing for events
- Work outside of regular business hours as needed
