Job Description

Amazon is looking for an Automation Operations Engineer to design and manage delivery station processes and equipment. This role involves leading complex projects, integrating systems for safety and efficiency, and collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level
  • 3+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience

Responsibilities

  • Integrate systems for safety, security, stability, and efficiency
  • Participate in the full system development life-cycle, including test plan execution and solution quality needs
  • Manage multiple high-visibility projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners
  • Define projects (scope, delivery, and budget), set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements to metrics, and influence resource allocation
  • Deep dive technical solutions that encompass advanced technology applications, conveyor hardware selection, automation integration, and vendor commissioning content
  • Lead and coordinate design and execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors
  • Lead and actively participate in design reviews and communicate future impacts of proposed solutions
  • Build relationships with partner organizations within the company
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams
  • Develop cross-functional knowledge of Operations and Engineering team systems, processes, procedures, and tools
  • Travel approximately 75% of the time
