Job Description

The Electronic Design Engineering - Radio Frequency Internship at Tesla offers students the opportunity to work on various teams focused on antenna design, audio software, electromagnetic compatibility, radio turner development, and wireless connectivity. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to projects that enhance vehicle connectivity and audio quality.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Degree in Electromagnetics, Radio Frequency Engineering, Antenna Design, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
Strong skills in Python/numpy, MATLAB, C/C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis
Experience with radio frequency, analog, and digital circuit design
Experience with PCB design and component selection
Experience on using test and measurement equipment specially for radio frequency like spectrum analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, etc.
Familiarity with an EM 3D design tool is a plus
Data analysis, report writing, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

Work on the Antenna team for design, integration test, and production of antenna solutions
Contribute to the Audio Software team for audio system integration and quality improvement
Assist the EMC team with product design, simulation, debugging, and testing for electromagnetic compatibility
Engage in Radio Turner product development activities
Support the Wireless Connectivity team in developing high-quality wireless technologies
Help the Wireless Hardware team design, develop, and test hardware systems for vehicle communication
