Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Roadway Design Engineer in Michigan to oversee and manage roadway design projects from concept to completion. The role involves leading a team, collaborating with clients, and ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements while being delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in roadway design and project management.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineers License (PE).
Experience with MDOT bid document preparation utilizing ORD and other software.

Responsibilities

Managing roadway design projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
Mentoring and providing direction to junior staff and design/drafters.
Interacting with client technical staff and managing client expectations.
Performing various roles on multi-disciplined projects including QA/QC reviewer and project manager.
Preparation of written reports, calculations, and other design documentation.
