Job Description

Tesla is looking for an engineer to develop and implement quality management systems, focusing on business process design and project management to enhance quality across various factories. The role emphasizes standardization and the sharing of best practices to optimize Tesla's quality systems.

Requirements

Degree in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality or quality system role
Knowledge of quality system industry standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AIAG
Understanding of software and database design to work closely with a development team
Preferred experience with data mining and databases, for example MySQL
Preferred: Data visualization experience (Tableau Preferred)
High attention to details
Ability to collaborate well across diverse functional groups
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Translate business process needs into software design requirements
Collaborate closely with the software development team to define functional and timeline requirements
Prioritize multiple projects across all departments and systems and provide status updates to stakeholders
Conduct internal audits and ensure resolution of audit findings
Proactively identify improvement opportunities across all business functions
Manage user documentation and deliver training on new rollouts
Monitor health of system and data quality
Collaborate with other sites/teams to drive towards common solutions
Identify gaps in quality system specific to Semi Factory
Implement existing best practices and develop new best practices
