Job Description

Microsoft Research New England is offering a summer Research Internship for advanced PhD students focusing on sociotechnical perspectives to analyze critical issues related to technology. Requirements

  • Proficiency in social scientific, empirical, or critical foundation – methodologically, analytically, and theoretically.
  • Interest in social scientific questions related to algorithmic, computational, or data-driven technologies and societies or cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with fellow doctoral candidates and researchers.
  • Present findings and contribute to the research community.
  • Engage in a 12-week research project with an eye towards a single publication.
