Job Description

The Principal AI Applied Scientist for Dynamics 365 Contact Center will advance Microsoft's mission by integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into products and services. This role involves collaboration across teams to solve complex problems, ensuring AI solutions are inclusive and impactful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience
  • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years Experience in developing and deploying live production systems

Responsibilities

  • Build collaborative relationships with product and business groups to deliver AI-driven impact
  • Light weight Fine-tuning of multimodal/MLLM models to improve Agent name-entity recognition, Agent Reasoning and Agent Response quality
  • Evaluate model behavior on relevance, bias, hallucination, and response quality via various experiments
  • Implement state-of-the-art using foundation models, prompt engineering, and classical machine learning techniques
  • Build rapid AI solution prototypes and contribute to production deployment
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in AI subfields to translate research into practical solutions
  • Ensure responsible AI practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Design, develop, and integrate generative AI solutions using foundation models
