The Principal AI Applied Scientist for Dynamics 365 Contact Center will advance Microsoft's mission by integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into products and services. This role involves collaboration across teams to solve complex problems, ensuring AI solutions are inclusive and impactful.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience
OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience
OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
3+ years Experience in developing and deploying live production systems

Responsibilities

Build collaborative relationships with product and business groups to deliver AI-driven impact
Light weight Fine-tuning of multimodal/MLLM models to improve Agent name-entity recognition, Agent Reasoning and Agent Response quality
Evaluate model behavior on relevance, bias, hallucination, and response quality via various experiments
Implement state-of-the-art using foundation models, prompt engineering, and classical machine learning techniques
Build rapid AI solution prototypes and contribute to production deployment
Demonstrate deep expertise in AI subfields to translate research into practical solutions
Ensure responsible AI practices throughout the development lifecycle
Design, develop, and integrate generative AI solutions using foundation models
