Job Description

StubHub is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Content Right Holder Tooling team, focusing on building backend and full-stack systems that enhance how inventory is distributed in their marketplace. The role involves collaborating with other engineers to create reliable, production-ready systems that integrate AI capabilities and improve user experiences.

Requirements

Typically 2–5 years of experience building production software, with a strong emphasis on frontend or full-stack development
Experience with at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or similar) and building or consuming APIs
Familiarity with integrating AI-powered services, automation, or agent-like workflows, or strong interest in learning and applying these patterns
Understanding of how data flows through services and how design decisions affect performance, reliability, and user experience
Comfortable working across a team, incorporating feedback, and iterating toward better technical and product outcomes

Responsibilities

Implement and evolve backend services and agentic systems that support content right holder workflows, automation, and intelligent decision-making
Convert product concepts into working systems, collaborating across frontend and backend boundaries to deliver cohesive features
Integrate AI-driven capabilities through backend services and supporting APIs
Contribute to services that handle data ingestion, synchronization, and processing at scale, with a focus on correctness and resilience
Build systems that are observable, debuggable, and resilient, and help improve how the platform behaves in real-world conditions
Iterate on existing services to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability as product needs evolve
