Job Description

This role involves leading a cross-functional team to develop future Apple products for the home, managing the full product lifecycle from architecture to execution. The position requires strong technical expertise in engineering and program management skills, with a focus on system integration and collaboration with various teams.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 5-8+ years of program management experience from early concept phases through production
  • Understanding of consumer electronics system architecture in product development
  • Experience shipping high volume products and working with Contract Manufacturer partners
  • Detailed knowledge of product development cycles and manufacturing processes
  • Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full product lifecycle from early engagements on product architecture to program execution
  • Lead multi-functional engineering team discussions to scope design, set timelines, and ensure timely completion
  • Understand the complexities of system integration and facilitate feedback through the internal design review process
  • Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds with a cross-functional team
  • Set and communicate clear objectives for the build schedule and serve as the primary point of contact for CM partners
  • Maintain good communication and provide status updates to individual contributors and executive management
