Job Description
Apple is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead the Integration Engineering team, focusing on enabling Apache Cassandra to work seamlessly with platform infrastructure. The role involves deep integration with technologies like Apache Spark and Apache Kafka, and requires expertise in modern database technology and distributed systems.
Requirements
- A track record of building stable and scalable data-intensive applications that unify the streaming, storage, and analytical stack.
- Experience building analytical services atop Apache Spark.
- Experience integrating leading databases with Apache Kafka.
- Experience managing platform convergence and unification with minimal disruption.
- Ability to rapidly build credibility with engineers, customers, and partners.
- Comfort working with geographically distributed partners.
- Expertise in project management and project planning.
- Experience developing or spearheading work in distributed systems, database systems, or storage engines.
- Advanced understanding of data structures and algorithms in storage and indexing.
- Proficient in modern Java.
- BS, MS, or Ph.D in Computer Science-related fields or equivalent work experience.
