Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Engineer to enhance powertrain integration processes at our Columbus, IN location. This entry-level role involves collaborating with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure optimal performance and reliability of powertrain systems in OEM applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, open to Electrical Engineering programs
  • Understanding of vehicle systems and testing methodologies
  • Experience or strong interest in control system calibration and validation
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as Matlab
  • Familiar with vehicle-level data acquisition techniques (e.g., CANalyzer)
  • Strong diagnostic skills and structured problem-solving abilities
  • Basic project management capabilities, including schedule tracking
  • Experience working with suppliers and customers in technical discussions

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve integration and installation issues
  • Enhance processes and tools for Installation Quality Assurance and OEM integration
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and VPI Teams to deliver accurate product data
  • Make informed decisions on product selection and design
  • Develop strong technical partnerships with customer counterparts
  • Translate customer requirements into functional product specifications
  • Represent customer interests during new product development and design reviews
  • Validate prototype machine performance and ensure installations meet standards
