Job Description

Cummins, Inc. is seeking a Product Systems Design Engineer in Henderson, CO, to investigate and resolve design issues, apply design processes and tools, and collaborate across functions. The role involves supporting concept decisions and owning problem resolution while contributing to team goals and competency development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate STEM field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Entry level/Early career professional with relevant experience in a technical discipline area.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and CREO tools is preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo/Pro-E/Solidworks) and familiarity with 2D tools (AutoCAD or equivalent).
  • Understanding of stationary and mobile engines and their application; electrical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve design issues by analyzing problems and recommending actions.
  • Apply design processes and tools like iDFMEA, DVA, GD&T, CREO, and ANSYS Workbench.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional experts to communicate design intent.
  • Support concept and specification decisions impacting customer requirements.
  • Own problem resolution for components, systems, or subsystems.
  • Execute established processes while contributing to process improvements.
  • Coordinate work among technicians or temporary employees as needed.
  • Contribute to team goals and continuously develop skills.
