Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineering Project Manager in Nashville, TN, with expertise in traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems. The role involves leading projects, mentoring staff, and conducting traffic operational analyses to improve mobility solutions.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years of transportation or traffic engineering experience post-graduation
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from accredited university
  • U.S. Driver’s License
  • Tennessee PE
  • Experience in TDOT design standards, ITS design, Traffic Operations Studies, and Safety Studies
  • Basic understanding of traffic analysis tools (e.g., VISSIM, CORSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, and HCS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, studies, and analyses in traffic operations, safety, and transportation planning projects
  • Lead tasks and projects independently and mentor younger staff
  • Conduct traffic operational analysis using microscopic simulation software such as VISSIM, Synchro, SimTraffic
  • Prepare traffic engineering plans for signal designs, signing and markings designs, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) designs
  • Assist in developing ICM and ATM operations and maintenance policies, procedures, and manuals
