Job Description

Cummins is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to enhance manufacturing processes at their Fletcher, NC location. The role involves effective communication, ergonomic leadership, health and safety advocacy, and data-driven design to optimize production efficiency and safety.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with a preference for a master’s degree.
At least five years of experience as an Industrial Engineer or in a closely related field.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices.
Strong communication skills to lead discussions and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead work studies for production lines to identify improvements and optimize performance.
Create, implement, and maintain standard work methods for consistency and efficiency.
Design and implement full manufacturing processes that meet safety and business objectives.
Analyze and improve production processes to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Lead projects and facilitate Kaizen events for continuous improvement.
