Job Description

Goldman Sachs Asset Management is seeking a member for their New York Portfolio Management team within Multi-Asset Solutions. The role involves managing US pension and insurance portfolios, focusing on strategic investment exposures and risk management while collaborating with various internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Advanced degree or CFA designation preferred
  • 1.5-4 years of investment management experience
  • Ability to communicate investment strategies and rationales
  • Experience in trading and managing risk for pension or insurance portfolios
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to work in a team-centric environment
  • High degree of investment awareness, including macroeconomic trends
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Creative, with good problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg, Reuters or financial data systems knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing multi-asset class portfolios in line with client guidelines and internal investment policies
  • Lead investment and risk projects to enhance trading and risk management processes
  • Trading across asset classes and instruments
  • Managing portfolio risk across various investment vehicles
  • Working closely with internal GSAM teams for dynamic asset allocation
  • Structuring trades across asset classes to manage the portfolio
  • Managing derivative-based overlay strategies
  • Analyzing portfolio risk and performance attribution
  • Producing investment updates and market commentary
  • Participating in complex portfolio events and coordinating with internal and external teams
