Arcadis is seeking a Principal Engineer in the Environment Resilience team, focusing on environmental consulting. The role involves providing technical direction, overseeing project teams, and mentoring staff while managing environmental investigation and remediation projects in federal and commercial sectors.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
15 years of project/task management experience to include controlling scope, schedule, budget, and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Requirements
Working familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, or State level regulated remediation
P.E. or P.G. License
40 Hour HAZWOPER certification

Responsibilities

Provide project management and engineering support while focusing on staff training and mentoring
Build and lead teams that evaluate data to support the development of conceptual site models for environmental investigations
Mentor and train mid- and junior-level staff through direct project interaction
Address client and regulatory comments on deliverables, driving the strategy for achieving comment resolution
Organize and direct internal staff and external subcontractors in line with project priorities
Review project financials, develop job setups, manage invoices, and administer subcontracts
Track and report the progress of project schedules and budgets
Maintain clear communication with clients, project teams, and regulatory agencies
