Job Description

KLA is seeking a motivated Product Development Engineer to join a high-caliber team focused on developing the next generation mask inspection platform. The role involves coordinating across multiple engineering functions and requires a strong technical background, particularly in digital signal processing and imaging systems.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience in digital signal processing and imaging systems (e-beam or optical)
  • Experience with particle beam physics, electron optics or SEM technology and their related instrumentation
  • Demonstrated analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in electron optics, precision mechanical, image processing, and motion control systems
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python and/or Matlab
  • Strong command of general physics, math and computational skills
  • Agility and ability to thrive on a fast-paced program
  • Able to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships

Responsibilities

  • Define subsystem architectures, develop requirement specifications and test plans
  • Coordinate project activities by actively aligning with stakeholders
  • Work with functional groups to define and review designs
  • Participate in prototype integration and testing of assemblies and systems
  • Create and implement test plans and perform logical analysis to validate system performance
  • Establish workflow and train/educate stakeholders on processes
  • Create and document calibration, manufacturing, and service procedures
  • Troubleshoot system and subsystem issues and work with various subsystem teams to identify and implement solutions
  • Support internal and external customers in implementing processes to build and use the system effectively
  • Lead or assist troubleshooting efforts in manufacturing and in the field
