Job Description

Tesla is looking for a self-motivated Process Engineer to enhance production quality and support the manufacturing of its humanoid AI robot, Optimus. The role involves developing operational processes to improve efficiency and quality, working with cross-functional teams to ramp production, and leveraging data analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to derive data-supported root causes and propose strong countermeasures
  • Tableau, R-studio, Minitab, and/or JMP experience preferred
  • Must be able to pull data using efficient SQL queries
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning systems quickly
  • Demonstrated experience in ramping a manufacturing line
  • Proven history of innovation and drive to improve processes
  • Desired Manufacturing Skillsets - Ignition Automation experience, familiarity with two-part adhesives
  • Additive manufacturing and CAD strongly preferred
  • Familiarity in Vision inspection systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review critical process metrics daily for statistical shifts from nominal and develop game plans to address
  • Identify and develop critical process monitors and metrics for Optimus manufacturing
  • Lead cross functional implementation of complex assembly processes to production
  • Guide and develop roadmaps for aggressive improvement to OEE metrics
  • Manage workload with a positive attitude as a team player
  • Drive continuous improvement activities for engineering and manufacturing
