Job Description

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer with water and wastewater experience to join their Resilience Water team. This hybrid role involves planning, designing, and delivering complex electrical systems for critical infrastructure projects that enhance water resources and community resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
  • 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects
  • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and coordinate electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities, including power distribution, motor control systems, VFDs, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and control systems
  • Produce high-quality electrical design deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, specifications, and design calculations using Autodesk and Bentley platforms
  • Support project delivery by assisting with budgets, schedules, and coordination to ensure projects are executed successfully within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Perform power system studies and analyses using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software to support safe, reliable, and resilient system performance
  • Provide engineering support during construction through submittal and shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, field inspections, and collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal teams
